Multiple Serious Pedestrian Accidents on Palmdale Road in Short Three-Day Span
Not one, but two serious pedestrian accidents were recently reported on Palmdale Road over a short three-day timespan. According to local news reports, the first pedestrian accident happened on September 28, just outside Palmdale. At around 8:00 a.m. in the morning, an accident involving a pedestrian was reported to police, and they were dispatched to the scene of the accident on Palmdale Road near Cahuenga Road. At the scene of the accident, police reportedly found a white Nissan Sentra with front-end damage described as “major.” They also heard from a witness that the victim of the pedestrian accident, only so far identified as a male, had been stuck underneath the Nissan Sentra’s front end, in front of the Hyundai dealership. The second pedestrian accident on Palmdale Road occurred just days after the first accident. According to news reports, on September 30, at around 5:57 a.m. in the morning, another pedestrian was hit by a car near the same Hyundai Dealership as the first accident, but this time just west of Del Gado Road on the 14800 block of Palmdale Road. At the scene of the accident, firefighters and police officers found a 20-year-old male deceased. A pick-up truck was parked nearby, with damage on the driver’s side headlight. At the time of initial reports of the fatal incident, details were limited, but the victim of the fatal pedestrian accident was identified as Trayshon P. Lowery. Local law enforcement authorities are investigating the case.
