A 5-year-old California girl from San Bernardino is in tenuous medical condition after surviving a serious truck accident last week. Marcus Coleman, Delilah’s father said of the accident, “He [Delilah’s mother’s ex-partner] said the last thing he remembers is he looked up in the back and he seen headlights coming at him really fast…He was trying to process it and it was too late.” Mr. Coleman, who is also a commercial truck driver, believes that the driver of the semi-truck rear-ended the vehicle Delilah was occupying, due to construction in the area, which began the six-vehicle chain-reaction-type accident. Mr. Coleman also says that witnesses to the accident told him that the semi-truck driver may have been dozing off at the wheel when the accident occurred. “There is no reason for her to be up there…For his negligence, my daughter is the one that suffered,” Mr. Coleman stated. Investigations into the terrible accident are still ongoing, and San Bernardino law enforcement has not yet identified the cause of the accident or determined whether negligence was a factor.
